Designed for children aged 3–6, this grand finale week is bursting with colour, creativity and excitement from start to finish. Children will love creating carnival crafts, enjoying a lively disco and pizza party, and meeting the amazing Reptile Man for a truly unforgettable hands-on experience. With highlights including a bouncy castle, themed games, a photo booth, prize activities and a magical “Sass & Sparkle” experience, every day is packed with joyful moments. Blending creative play, outdoor fun and celebration, Week 6 is the perfect way to round off an incredible summer—full of laughter, friendship and memories to treasure.

Monday 24 August

We begin our final week with excitement, colour, and celebration as the children step into their very own carnival experience. The day is filled with hands-on creativity as they design and make their own carnival masks, decorate popcorn bags, and explore a vibrant painting station, setting the scene for a week of festive fun. A special highlight of the day is the in-house disco and pizza party, where children can dance, celebrate, and enjoy time together in a joyful, energetic atmosphere. We’re also thrilled to welcome the one and only Reptile Man, bringing his amazing collection of scaly creatures for a truly unforgettable hands-on experience! Children will have the opportunity to see, touch and learn about a variety of fascinating reptiles – from feeling the tickle of a blue-tongue lizard to even having a snake gently curl around them (for those who are feeling brave!). This interactive session is always a huge hit and a real highlight of the week.  After lunch, children take time to relax with story time and group games, followed by outdoor play on bikes and scooters. The festivities continue into the afternoon with classic party games like pass the parcel and lively musical games, with plenty of opportunities to win prizes and build confidence through participation. As the day winds down, children enjoy relaxed outdoor play before ending with music and movement, ready to head home full of excitement.

Tuesday 25 August

Tuesday brings a lovely balance of outdoor exploration and playful carnival activities, with a trip to Oaken Grove Park for a relaxed picnic lunch in the sunshine. In the morning, children enjoy creative preparations, including making their own bubble wands and experimenting with puffy “cotton candy” painting, sparking imagination and sensory exploration. After lunch and a calming group time, the fun continues with outdoor play before children take part in a cheerful flamingo ring toss game, adding a playful carnival twist to the day. The afternoon flows into relaxed outdoor free play, where children can explore, socialise, and enjoy the summer air.

Wednesday 27 August

Midweek brings all the excitement of a mini carnival fair, filled with colourful activities and interactive fun. With a bouncy castle adding energy and laughter to the day, children can jump, play, and build confidence in a safe and exciting environment. Creative experiences continue with henna-style designs, a nail bar, and temporary tattoos, allowing children to express their individuality in a fun and age-appropriate way. One of the highlights is the classic carnival game “guess how many sweets are in the jar,” adding anticipation and excitement. After lunch, children enjoy their usual calm time before returning to a playful afternoon, balancing creativity and movement with ease. The day ends with outdoor play, giving children time to relax and enjoy being active with friends.

Thursday 27 August

Thursday continues the carnival spirit with a day full of games, creativity, and friendly challenges. Children can take part in fun interactive activities like tic tac toe games, capture special moments in the photo booth, and create keepsakes through bracelet making and Hama bead keyrings. After lunch, children settle into story time and group games before heading back into the excitement with the popular “spin the candy wheel”, where prizes and surprises keep everyone engaged and smiling. The day naturally flows into outdoor play after dinner, offering balance between high-energy fun and relaxed exploration.

Friday 28 August

We finish the summer holiday club with a magical carnival finale, celebrating a week of fun, friendship, and creativity. Children will enjoy classic fairground-style games like tin can alley and “guess the name of the teddy,” giving them the chance to win prizes and take home special memories. A special highlight of the day is “Sass & Sparkle,” where children can enjoy a glamorous and playful experience, adding a final touch of excitement to the week. After lunch, children enjoy their familiar calming routine of stories and games before diving into one last afternoon of celebration and play. The week ends with laughter, outdoor fun, and shared moments with friends. As we close this special summer programme, children leave with a sense of achievement, joy, and wonderful memories to treasure. Week 6 is a joyful celebration of everything summer has been—bringing together creativity, confidence, friendship, and fun in one unforgettable carnival experience for children aged 3–6.

Each day at Junior Holiday Club, children aged 3–6 enjoy a wonderful balance of choice, creativity and active play, with lots of opportunities to make new friends in a warm, nurturing environment. Our youngest children are supported by dedicated key workers who help them feel confident, settled and ready to explore. Throughout the day, children can take part in a variety of fun, age-appropriate physical activities such as simple team games, ball play, and obstacle-style challenges that encourage movement, coordination and teamwork.

There is always a wide range of engaging free-play opportunities available, including colouring, group games, Lego building and a fantastic selection of arts and crafts materials that children can choose from and enjoy at their own pace. Imaginative play is a big highlight, with dressing-up, dolls and a cosy home corner kitchen where children can role play and bring their ideas to life. Sensory experiences are also a big part of the day, from making playdough to enjoying messy play and hands-on activities that spark curiosity and creativity.

For quieter moments, children can relax in soft, cosy reading corners, perfect for looking at books, sharing stories or simply recharging. Outdoors, children have plenty of space to stretch their legs and explore—riding bikes and scooters, playing games, and enjoying the fresh air in our large outdoor areas. With so much variety and freedom of choice, every child can follow their interests, try new things and enjoy a happy, active and memorable holiday experience.

Please note:

All planned outings and park visits are subject to change in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, such as transport disruptions, weather conditions, or venue availability. In the unlikely event that we need to amend our plans, we will arrange a suitable alternative outing or activity to ensure the children continue to have a safe, enjoyable, and engaging experience. We will communicate any changes with parents as soon as possible.
