17-21 August

Welcome to Week 5: Sunshine & Summer Celebrations at our Junior Summer Holiday Club – a joyful week designed especially for children aged 3–6, bursting with creativity, energy and feel-good summer fun! From lively U-Sports sessions and a super exciting street dance workshop to bouncy castle fun and a special visit to Basil Farm, each day is filled with memorable experiences. Children will explore their creativity through beach-themed crafts, baking delicious treats, making sensory keepsakes and enjoying colourful art activities, all balanced with relaxing moments and outdoor play. With water fun, summer treats and a cheerful end-of-week celebration, Week 5 is all about laughter, confidence building and making magical summer memories with friends.

Monday 17 August

We begin the week with energy, confidence, and creativity as children dive into a fun-filled day of self-expression and movement. Little ones will enjoy a lively U-Sports coaching session, helping them build coordination and confidence, before settling into creative activities such as “All About Me” projects and cheerful beach-themed artwork. After a relaxing lunch, children unwind with gentle story time and group games, followed by outdoor play on bikes and scooters. The afternoon then bursts into sensory fun with water and sand play, alongside creating their very own summer sensory bottles to take home. As the day winds down, children continue to enjoy the outdoors with mud kitchen adventures, water play, and free-flow sports, before finishing with happy, music-filled games ready for home time.

Tuesday 18 August

Tuesday is all about indulgent fun and feel-good experiences, with a bouncy castle available all day bringing endless excitement and laughter. Children are treated to a relaxing spa-style morning, complete with nail painting, temporary tattoos, and a calm pampering environment, followed by hands-on baking where they’ll make delicious blueberry muffins and beach-themed cupcakes. In the afternoon, after story time and outdoor play, things get delightfully messy with a playful ice cream tuff tray experience and colourful paint splat creations, encouraging creativity and sensory exploration. The day continues outdoors after dinner, with plenty of time to ride scooters, enjoy water play, and relax with friends in the sunshine.

Wednesday 19 August

Midweek is filled with imagination, colour, and hands-on discovery. Children will explore a variety of sensory trays with sand and water, alongside a vibrant summer painting station and intricate craft activities like bracelet making and Hama beads. A highlight of the day is our super cool street dance workshop, led by a professional dance teacher. This energetic session gives children the chance to learn fun routines, build confidence and express themselves through music and movement – always a firm favourite and loved by all!  After lunch, a calm pause for stories and group games allows everyone to recharge before heading back into creativity. Children will delight in making their own refreshing ice lollies, followed by a fun ice pop craft activity using colourful tissue paper and water. The day gently winds down with relaxed outdoor play, giving children time to explore, socialise, and enjoy the summer air.

Thursday 20 August

Thursday brings a wonderful opportunity for exploration with a special morning visit to Basil Farm, where children can experience the sights and sounds of the farm in a safe and engaging way. Back at the setting, the summer theme continues with creative activities such as making cooling summer fans, designing sun hats, and experimenting with chalk art outdoors. After lunch and a relaxed play session, children take part in delicious and creative activities, including making fresh fruit smoothies and crafting beautiful pasta mosaic artwork. As always, the afternoon flows into outdoor play, where children can run, ride, and enjoy the freedom of summer with friends.

Friday 21 August

We end the week on a high with a joyful celebration of everything summer has to offer. Children will enjoy making their own refreshing lemonade, followed by exciting and expressive spray-painting activities. After lunch, the fun continues with a relaxed moment of stories and games before children create colourful paper windmills and decorate tasty strawberries and cream puffs—a perfect sweet treat to finish the week. The final afternoon is full of outdoor fun, laughter, and celebration as children enjoy free play, games, and sunshine with their friends before heading home full of happy memories. Every day is carefully balanced with calm moments, creative exploration, and active outdoor play – perfect for our youngest children aged 3–6.

Each day at Junior Holiday Club, children aged 3–6 enjoy a wonderful balance of choice, creativity and active play, with lots of opportunities to make new friends in a warm, nurturing environment. Our youngest children are supported by dedicated key workers who help them feel confident, settled and ready to explore. Throughout the day, children can take part in a variety of fun, age-appropriate physical activities such as simple team games, ball play, and obstacle-style challenges that encourage movement, coordination and teamwork.

There is always a wide range of engaging free-play opportunities available, including colouring, group games, Lego building and a fantastic selection of arts and crafts materials that children can choose from and enjoy at their own pace. Imaginative play is a big highlight, with dressing-up, dolls and a cosy home corner kitchen where children can role play and bring their ideas to life. Sensory experiences are also a big part of the day, from making playdough to enjoying messy play and hands-on activities that spark curiosity and creativity.

For quieter moments, children can relax in soft, cosy reading corners, perfect for looking at books, sharing stories or simply recharging. Outdoors, children have plenty of space to stretch their legs and explore—riding bikes and scooters, playing games, and enjoying the fresh air in our large outdoor areas. With so much variety and freedom of choice, every child can follow their interests, try new things and enjoy a happy, active and memorable holiday experience.

Please note:

All planned outings and park visits are subject to change in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, such as transport disruptions, weather conditions, or venue availability. In the unlikely event that we need to amend our plans, we will arrange a suitable alternative outing or activity to ensure the children continue to have a safe, enjoyable, and engaging experience. We will communicate any changes with parents as soon as possible.
