Junior Summer Holiday Club

Ages 3-6 years

We are excited to launch our summer holiday club for our Junior Programme. As well as the thoughtfully planned timetable of activities across 6 weeks of summer for ages 3-6 years, each day, children have the choice to take part in a variety of sports and physical activities like basketball, football, skipping, bouldering and bench ball, as well as a wide selection of arts and crafts materials to choose from. They will also enjoy lots of free-time in between scheduled activities where they can play board games, colouring, Lego competitions, group games, dress ups, junk modelling and more.  Click on each week to find out what’s on each day.

Let’s Get Active Week 1: 24-25 July

Summer Fun! sets the stage for an energetic and joyful start to the holidays. Children will begin by joining their key groups, learning the golden rules, and fuelling up with a healthy snack before jumping into playful activities. From hopscotch challenges and cotton pad monster painting to scavenger hunts and football matches, each moment encourages movement, creativity, and teamwork. Outdoor forest play, gym equipment fun, and exciting relay races keep little ones active and engaged, while crafty sessions like play dough making and hide and seek add moments of calm joy. The fun continues on Bring Your Bike or Scooter Day, where children will bake cupcakes, create colourful abstract art, and enjoy mud kitchen, sand, and water play. Highlights include chalk shadow drawings, a giggle-filled egg and spoon race, obstacle courses, and classic party games like pass the parcel and tug of war. With plenty of time for outdoor play, sports, and exploration, this week is all about building confidence, making friends, and enjoying every sunny second!

People Who Help Us Week 2: 28 July – 1 August

This week, the theme People Who Help Us will inspire a week of imaginative play, creative exploration, and hands-on learning as children celebrate the everyday heroes around them. From crafting thank you cards and traffic light art to baking for charity and creating x-ray prints, the week will be filled with activities that teach gratitude, teamwork, and community spirit. Juniors will enjoy doctor role play, salt dough teeth models, and a LEGO builder’s challenge, as well as exciting visits from real-life firefighters and police officers — complete with fire engine tours, fingerprint fun, and detective games. Bike and Scooter Day will bring lessons in road safety and first aid, plus more creative crafts like NHS posters and cotton bud skeleton prints. Each day blends storytelling, messy play, outdoor fun, and creative expression to help children learn about those who care for us — all while having a blast with friends in a safe, nurturing environment.
