Step right up for our grand finale… Carnival Week! Bursting with colour, energy and celebration, this unforgettable final week of Discovery Club is packed with exciting experiences, creative activities and show-stopping fun. From meeting amazing reptiles and enjoying bouncy castle thrills to designing carnival games and dressing up for a spectacular end-of-summer celebration, children will finish their holidays on a high—full of laughter, friendship and magical memories.
On top of all that, children can bring along their bikes and scooters to make the most of our outdoor spaces, challenge friends at pool and table football competitions, and dive into everything from messy play and baking to team games and the freedom to just be!
Monday 24 August
We kick off the final week with a vibrant carnival disco and pizza party! Children will get creative making carnival masks, popcorn bags and artwork, alongside free choice play including dressing up, Lego, construction, board games and imaginative activities.
We’re also thrilled to welcome the one and only Reptile Man, bringing his amazing collection of scaly creatures for a truly unforgettable hands-on experience! Children will have the opportunity to see, touch and learn about a variety of fascinating reptiles – from feeling the tickle of a blue-tongue lizard to even having a snake gently curl around them (for those who are feeling brave!). This interactive session is always a huge hit and a real highlight of the week. After snack, the energy builds with bikes and scooters before moving into an exciting in-house disco. Children will enjoy pass the parcel, musical games and prize challenges, bringing plenty of fun and excitement. The day finishes with outdoor sports games, scooters, bikes and relaxed music games to celebrate the start of carnival week in style.
A colourful and creative carnival-inspired day full of imagination and outdoor fun! Children will start with cotton candy-style painting and bubble wand making, setting the tone for a bright and playful day. Afterwards, children head to Oaken Grove Park for outdoor play and a picnic lunch with friends. Back at the setting, the afternoon continues with carnival games including flamingo ring toss and a team quiz exploring celebrations from around the world. The day ends with bikes, scooters and music games to round off a fun and relaxed carnival experience.
Wednesday 26 August
A high-energy carnival celebration from start to finish! The bouncy castle is running throughout the day alongside a range of fairground-style activities and creative stations. Children can enjoy henna-inspired designs, nail bar and water-based tattoos, plus exciting carnival games such as punch-a-hole prizes and making churros. Later on, children take part in bikes and scooters, a classic “guess how many sweets” challenge, and creative carnival artwork using bold colours and textures. The day finishes with outdoor sports games, scooters, bikes and music activities full of carnival energy.
A fun-filled circus-themed carnival day packed with creativity, games and teamwork! Children will enjoy tic tac toe challenges, a photo booth experience, bracelet making and Hama bead keyrings, alongside imaginative den building where they design and create their own circus tents. After a busy morning, children head to Oaken Grove for outdoor play and a picnic lunch with friends. The afternoon continues back at the setting with spin-the-candy-wheel games, bikes and scooters, outdoor sports and relaxed music games to keep the carnival fun going.
We end the summer in spectacular style with a colourful carnival finale full of energy, creativity and celebration! Children are invited to come dressed in bright, colourful outfits to bring the carnival atmosphere to life. The morning includes an in-house movie with popcorn, pool table and football table games, and a STEM challenge where children design and build their own carnival games. In the afternoon, children enjoy Sass & Sparkle activities, Tin Can Alley, bikes, scooters and outdoor games, alongside plenty of relaxed fun with friends. The celebration finishes with music, movement and free play, rounding off an incredible summer of Discovery adventures!
Each day, Discovery children have the freedom to take part in a variety of sport and physical activities like basketball, football, skipping, bench ball, as well as enjoy a range of free-time activities including board games, colouring in, Lego competitions, group games, and a wide selection of arts and crafts materials to choose from and enjoy at their own leisure. We have a quiet chill out zone for those just wanting to read books or magazines, do some scrapbooking or make something out of the wide range of materials available.On top of all that, children can bring along their bikes and scooters to make the most of our outdoor spaces, challenge friends at pool and table football competitions, and dive into everything from messy play and baking to team games and the freedom to just be!
