As well as the thoughtfully planned timetable of activities below, each day, children have the choice to take part in a variety of sports and physical activities like basketball, football, skipping, bouldering and bench ball, as well as a wide selection of arts and crafts materials to choose from. They will also enjoy lots of free-time in between scheduled activities where they can play board games, colouring, Lego competitions, group games, dress ups, junk modelling and more. Take a look below to see what we have in store each day.

Monday 22 July

Today there will be a Doughnut Toss game and a group game of football and the honey bear game in Grenfell Park. Children will enjoy making crayon canvas art, playdough and strawberry lace and hoop bracelets. There will be junk modelling, musical bumps and lots more to keep them busy.

Tuesday 23 July

Today we will tie dye t-shirts (t-shirt supplied), make bubble art painting, bake cookie monsters, paint glitter tattoos and do some collage catalogue sticking. We will head to the local park for a picnic and a game of Sleeping Lions in the Park and team basketball, and some time on the playground.

Wednesday 24 July

Embark on an adventure with our favourite super villain Gru as we enjoy seeing Despicable Me 4 at the Odeon or relax with some group yoga. Today we will visit the local park for some groups games and story time. We will make hama beads, loom bands, friendship bracelets, fizzy fairy potion jars and key rings. You name it, we are doing it!

Thursday 25 July

We are off to the park for another picnic today combined with a game of Cross the River and Tennis. We will make fluffy bubble-gum slime, do some stencil tracing and compile yard wrapped cardboard letters. We will challenge ourselves with a STEM catapult challenge and create our own cardboard mazes to try out on our friends. We will finish the day with a fun group game of Don’t let the balloon drop.

Friday 26 July

Today we will enjoy a variety of sports games in the park along with a game of Duck Duck Goose. We will explore our senses with sensory sand and water play with dinosaurs. We will have a junk modelling challenge and create melted crayon art. We will finish the day off making a sloth straw stream, potions and spell bottles.

Each day, Discovery children have the freedom to take part in a variety of sport and physical activities like basketball, football, skipping, bouldering and bench ball, as well as enjoy a range of free-time activities including board games, colouring in, Lego competitions, group games, and a wide selection of arts and crafts materials to choose from and enjoy at their own leisure. We have a pool table and a table football table, and a chill out zone for those just wanting to read books or magazines, do some scrapbooking or make something out of the wide range of materials available.

Please note: While we do plan to visit the park every day, this is weather dependent.
