At the heart of our Discovery Holiday Club this Easter, is the freedom for children to shape their own day through purposeful, open-ended play. Every day, alongside our planned activities, Discovery children can enjoy a wide range of inspiring zones designed for independence, imagination and relaxation. They can challenge friends at the pool table or foosball table, unwind at the nail and beauty bar, or get creative in our construction zone using Lego, K’Nex and upcycled materials. Those who love the outdoors can build hideouts in our den building area, explore the forest school and roam our vast, leafy grounds. Indoors, our art and craft zone is always open for painting, modelling and mixed‑media projects, while the chill‑out zone offers a calm space to read, listen to music or simply relax with friends. These spaces are available daily, giving children the choice and autonomy that older learners thoroughly enjoy.

Easter Holiday Club
Discovery Programme
Monday 30 March
We begin our Easter Discovery Club with a brilliant mix of creativity, relaxation and adventure. The morning opens with a calming spa session, complete with mini manicures, a foot spa, soothing music and cucumber eye masks. Children can explore our buzzing Art Station or head to the den building area to create cosy hideouts with giant fabrics. After morning register and snack, we take an active trip to Oaken Grove Park before returning for an afternoon full of Easter themed activities. Children design and decorate their own Easter hats for our parade, with a delicious chocolate egg for the winner. Later, we bake Easter rocky road cookies, craft wooden spoon bunnies and enjoy free-flow indoor and outdoor play.
REPTILE MAN IS BACK!
A highlight arrives from 3–4pm, when the children meet the Reptile Man and his fascinating creatures. His interactive sessions are always a huge hit at our club as it gives the children a rare chance to encounter a variety of fascinating reptiles up close, encouraging curiosity, confidence and respect for animals. It never gets old. We end the day with light‑hearted group games and some of our favourite musical activities.
Tuesday blends seasonal creativity with a fun-packed adventure. Children begin with art and craft activities, den building and options such as decorating boiled eggs or weaving mini baskets. After snack, we head to Grenfell Park for morning play and return for a picnic-style lunch.
The afternoon brings an exciting cinema trip, where children can enjoy a film together; optional popcorn and a kids’ snack box are available for £4.99. This shared experience is always popular, giving the group a sense of independence and excitement in a safe, structured way.
Once back at the club, the afternoon remains active and varied with scooters and bikes outside, water and sand play, mud-kitchen exploration, and indoor soft ball games. As always, the day closes with upbeat musical games and time to unwind with friends.
Midweek brings a creative focus, offering children a chance to explore tactile, expressive and skill-building activities. The morning features our puffy painting station, a favourite for its textured, eye-catching results, as well as the opportunity to craft personalised Easter treat bags. For those who enjoy quiet concentration, an origami session introduces new folding techniques and encourages fine-motor precision. After snack, we head to Punt Hill Park for outdoor fun before returning for lunch. The afternoon features Easter card making and the delicious activity of baking fresh hot cross buns.
TIME TO SASS & SPARKLE: Later in the day we welcome Sass and Sparkle, bringing a touch of glamour and fun through temporary glitter and sparkle activities. A friendly quiz and our usual musical games bring the day to a satisfying close.
Our final day of Week 1 is a celebration of all things Easter. The morning is filled with lively party games – including musical chairs, musical bumps and pass the parcel – all accompanied by small prizes to keep the excitement high. This leads naturally into our eagerly awaited Easter egg hunt, as children race around the field in search of hidden surprises. Throughout the day, children have ongoing access to creative stations and open-ended play zones. After morning snack, we prepare for another picnic, this time at Grenfell Park, giving everyone a chance to enjoy lunch outdoors in the spring sunshine. The afternoon continues with a wide range of outdoor activities – scooters, bikes, team sports, water and sand play, mud kitchen exploration and imaginative group games. We end the day, and the week, with music, movement and time for the children to relax before heading home.
We begin Week 2 with a wonderfully creative, dynamic and slightly messy day designed to inspire imagination and teamwork. The morning includes the opportunity to make slime – a popular, sensory-rich activity – alongside crown flipbook crafting, open art stations, construction areas and den building. Mid-morning gives children the chance to spin some candy floss (and taste it!), followed by outdoor football on the field. After lunch, we introduce a series of fairground-style challenges, including Tin Can Alley and Guess How Many Eggs in the Jar, which encourage friendly competition and problem-solving. The highlight of the afternoon is a team circus-themed junk-modelling challenge, where children collaborate to build a detailed diorama and puppet theatre using a wide range of upcycled materials. The day ends with scooters, bikes and our much-loved musical games.
Wednesday brings a lively mix of high‑energy and hands‑on activities, with the bouncy castle available throughout the day for children to enjoy whenever they choose. Alongside this, a variety of themed stations offer different ways to play and get creative. The Lucky Dip and Guessing Booth add a fun, game‑show feel, while the field is set up for cricket, giving children the chance to take part in informal team play or practise basic skills. Indoors, children can make their own chemical‑free clay, learning how simple natural ingredients create a smooth, mouldable material they can shape into small keepsakes or sculptures. For those who prefer calmer creative time, the art, construction and chill‑out zones are open throughout, giving older children space to explore independently. In the afternoon, the group looks forward to one of the week’s favourite activities: making their own pizzas for dinner. Children choose their toppings, create their base and assemble their personalised meal, adding a practical cooking experience to the day. We finish with soft ball games and relaxed musical activities, giving everyone a chance to wind down before heading home.
Thursday offers a refreshing mix of activity and relaxation, starting with a supervised walk to Braywick Leisure Centre for a much‑loved swimming session. Children have the chance to build water confidence, practise basic swimming skills or simply enjoy time in the pool with friends, all closely supported by our trained team. After swimming, we head to Grenfell Park for a relaxed picnic lunch, giving children time to recharge, chat and enjoy the open space. Back at club, the afternoon includes a choice of engaging activities such as Bingo, Spin the Candy Wheel, and open creative zones for art and craft projects. Outdoors, children can explore water and sand play, the mud kitchen or join in a variety of sports and team games across the field. We bring the day to a close with a friendly quiz and some light musical games, helping everyone unwind before home time.
Our final day of the Easter programme is a lively celebration from start to finish. Children are invited to come dressed for a party, setting the tone for a fun and festive atmosphere. The morning begins with one of the week’s most popular hands‑on activities: making freshly cooked doughnuts. Children mix, shape and decorate their creations, enjoying both the process and the delicious results. After a morning filled with creativity and music, we enjoy a relaxed Hot Dog Party lunch, giving the day a sociable, end‑of‑term feel. The afternoon brings a fantastic mix of themed experiences, including henna tattoos, water‑based temporary tattoos, and a photo booth, where children can take fun snapshots with friends to remember the week. The celebration continues with an in‑house disco, complete with favourite songs, dance games and space for children to express themselves and enjoy time together. Outdoors, a range of sports and active games remain available for those who prefer to stay on the move. We round off the day with light musical activities, closing the holiday on a positive, high‑energy note.
