Job Description:
Ready to Be the Wise Owl in Our Nest?
Are you a childcare pro who loves a bit of chaos, a lot of fun, and leading a team that feels more like family? Wise Owls Childcare is looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and professional Deputy Manager to join our Maidenhead crew! We’re not just about supervision; we’re about creating a “safe, happy, and stimulating” world for kids aged 3–14. If you want to go home every day knowing you’ve made a bunch of kids (and your team) smile, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
Why you’ll love it here:
- Loyalty is a two-way street: We value you and show it with competitive pay and perks.
- Your dreams matter: We’ll invest in your training so you can grow along with us.
- We’re a family: You’ll be supported, inspired, and truly valued every single day.
The Role:
You’ll be the Manager’s right-hand person, keeping our after-school clubs running like clockwork. From leading a brilliant team to dreaming up activities that kids actually want to do, you’ll be the heartbeat of the club.
The Logistics:
- Term Time Only: 18.75 hours/week (2:45 pm – 6:30 pm, Mon–Fri).
- OR Year-Round: Keep your afternoon hours in term time, and switch to 8–8.5 hour shifts (between 8:15 am – 5:45 pm) during the school holidays.
What you bring to the table:
- The Credentials: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Childcare.
- The Brains: Great knowledge of the EYFS and a knack for staying organised.
- The Spirit: Previous leadership experience and a “can-do” energy that fits our fun, fast-paced vibe.
- The Bonus Points: First Aid or Safeguarding training? Even better!
The Perks (aka The Good Stuff):
Excellent pay & pension
Wellness programme & shopping discounts
Regular staff socials
Heavily discounted childcare & free uniform
Extra Loyalty Rewards: Private medical (after 2 years), plus extra leave and sick pay (after 3 years).
The Serious Bit:
We’re committed to safeguarding our little owls, so a DBS check and a full application form are a must.
