Welcome to your May newsletter
As we look back on April, the children had meaningful opportunities to learn about and take part in cultural celebrations that are important to many of our families, including Easter and Ramadan. Through a range of age-appropriate activities, they explored the significance of these events and enjoyed some of the traditions that come with them. With the arrival of warmer weather, we’re looking forward to spending more time outdoors. The change in season provides plenty of chances for the children to observe nature, be active, and take part in outdoor learning that supports their curiosity and development.
Here are the special events we will celebrate in the coming months.
Tuesday 20th May – World Bee Day
Saturday 24th May – Children’s Gardening Week Commences
Monday 26th May – Spring Bank Holiday Nursery Closed
Thursday 29th May – National biscuit day where we will be enjoying biscuits from our lunch caterer
Sunday 15th June – Father’s Day celebration the week leading up to this special day.
Wednesday 25th June – Photographer coming for a summer photoshoot – more details to be provided by Hayley soon.
As the weather warms up, please take a moment to review our updated Sun Safety Policy, available on your Famly newsfeed and under ‘Documents’. We’ve switched to Garnier Ambre Solaire SPF 50+ suncream. If you’d prefer to provide your own, please label it and update your child’s Famly profile (Health > Special Notes).
We have now moved on to our summer lunch menu. We’re also pleased to now offer an allergen-free menu through Educatering Solutions, designed to accommodate all 14 major allergens. Menus can be viewed on Famly.
As your child grows and takes their next big step towards school, we understand that this transition can be both exciting and emotional. In preschool, we play a vital role in preparing children for this journey, helping them develop key skills that set them up for a positive and confident start to school life. Places in our cabin are extremely limited in 2025/2026 but if you would like to discuss increasing your child’s attendance at preschool to help them prepare for the next step, please contact our bookings team
